Men's Ministry

The Men’s Ministry is designed to help meet the spiritual needs of the men of the body.  Through worship, study, prayer, fellowship and accountability, this ministry helps men build their relationship with the Lord and with each other.  John 15:12 says, ‘this is my commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.’  The Lord Jesus’ love for us is our example how we are to share and serve in love the brethren of Calvary Concord.

There are many opportunities to receive in the Men’s Ministry.

Men’s Studies:  2nd and 4th Thursday of each month @ 7pm.  The men currently study verse by verse with open discussion.

Accountability Fellowship: Held every two-four weeks.

Groups of three to five men meet on a regular basis, depending on their schedules.  Meeting times are very flexible.  Men share what is on their hearts and what is going on in their lives.  Each man is prayed for and followed up throughout the month.  A confidential environment is promoted in each group.

Men’s Breakfasts / BBQ’s: The body of men are invited to these special times held throughout the year at the church and people’s homes.  A meal is prepared and enjoyed along with fellowship.  Also, worship and an hour of Bible Study are received.  These events are to bring unity among the men and draw them into a closer relationship with the Lord.

Annual Golf Tournament: Held every December rain or shine at a nearby golf course.  Men gather despite skill level for competitive individual /team play.  Only godly fellowship and fun are allowed.

Retreat: In March / April every year. For a three-day weekend away, men travel to a beautiful and restful mountain location.  Listening to a guest speaker for multiple sessions, these are opportunities to reinforce what is learned through prayer, worship, fellowship ad accountability.  This special time allows for growth in the personal relationship with Jesus for each man.  Excellent food and times of exercise are also enjoyed along with other amenities around the camp.  This time increases the unity among the men in the body.
